Styles and features

The features that make dictated text read as if you typed it: styles that write for the app you are in, your own styles, sending chat messages by voice, rewriting text you already typed, snippets, translation, History and the stats on your account.

What are styles?

The way your words are written for the app you are in. Email writes full sentences with greetings kept; Chat keeps it short and casual; AI prompt turns rambling thoughts into a clear instruction; Code keeps names and symbols exact; Notes uses tidy points; Clean changes as little as possible.

It picks the right one automatically from the app you are in, and you can change the choice for any app.

Can I make my own style?

Yes. Describe it in plain words, like "keep it under three short sentences, no greeting" or "write it as a formal letter in British English", and give it a name.

You can set your own style as the default for any app, and it syncs to all your PCs.

How does "send" work?

In chat apps such as Slack, Teams, WhatsApp or Claude, end what you say with the word "send" and it presses Enter for you once the text is typed.

Leave it off and the text waits in the box for you to read it first. "Send" is never typed into your message.

Can it rewrite text I already typed?

Yes. Select the text in any app, hold Right Ctrl + Shift and say how to change it: "make it friendlier", "shorter", "fix the grammar", "turn this into bullet points" or "in Thai".

The selected text is replaced with the new version. Rewrites like this do not count towards your words.

What are snippets?

Short phrases that expand into longer text. Say "my address" and your full address is typed, or "sign-off" for your usual email ending, or "booking link" for a link you send ten times a day.

Snippets are typed exactly as you saved them, without any clean-up, and sync to every PC.

Can it translate as I speak?

Yes. Pick the Translate style for an app, choose the language, and speak in your own. For example, speak English and it writes Thai, ready to send.

Names, numbers and anything in your dictionary stay as they are.

Can I redo a dictation in another style?

Yes. In History, pick a different style on any dictation and it is rewritten from what you said, without speaking again. Useful when an email should have been a chat message, or the other way round.

Rewrites are free and never count as words.

What is in History?

Every dictation you made on that PC, grouped by day, newest first: what was written, what you said, the app it went into, and how fast you spoke.

You can copy, redo or fix any of it, search it, or clear it. History is kept on your PC only, never on our servers.

What do the stats on my account show?

Your account page shows words a day, the time you saved against your own typing speed, your streak, the apps you dictate into most, your busiest hours and your languages.

The Ums and uhs view on the chart shows how many fillers you say per 100 words, day by day, so you can watch it come down. These are counts only; we never see what you said.
