The short answer
Your dictionary, snippets and your own styles sync to every PC you sign in on, so a word you teach on one PC is right on the others. History stays on each PC and is never uploaded.
What syncs and what does not
| Syncs to every PC | Stays on each PC |
|---|---|
| Your dictionary | History |
| Your snippets | Your microphone choice |
| Your own styles | Waiting clips not yet sent |
How quickly
Changes usually reach your other PCs within a minute while they are online. A PC that was off picks them up the next time it starts. Your account page's Settings and data tab shows what is synced.
Why History does not sync
History holds what you actually said and wrote. Keeping it only on the PC where you made it means it never leaves your machine, and is never on our servers. Settings are different: a dictionary word or a snippet is not something you said, it is how you want things written.
