The short answer
Some companies switch the Store off. Ask your IT team to allow Perfect Dictation from the Store; it needs no administrator rights and installs only for your user.
What to tell your IT team
- App: Perfect Dictation, by DeveloperData.net, in the Microsoft Store.
- Install: per user, no administrator rights, no drivers, no services.
- Network: HTTPS to perfectdictation.com and api.perfectdictation.com only.
- Data: audio is processed and discarded; dictated text is never stored on our servers. Details on the privacy page.
- Updates: through the Microsoft Store, like any Store app.
Many IT teams can allow a single Store app even when the Store is otherwise blocked, using their usual device management tools.
A direct download
A direct download for managed PCs is planned. The download page lets you leave your email to hear when it is ready.
If your organisation has rules about AI services
Some organisations have rules about which online services may process work content. The privacy page lists every service involved and what each keeps, which is usually what an IT or compliance team asks for first.
