Your own modes
Write a prompt once, make it active, and every dictation is rewritten with it before it is pasted.
- NewModes tab. As many modes as you like, each with its own prompt of up to 5,000 characters. One is active at a time.
- NewLive rewrite. With a mode active, the panel shows your text being rewritten the moment you stop talking, then pastes it.
- NewPick a mode while you talk from the button on the panel. Clicking it never moves your cursor.
- NewRewrite and Original tabs in History, with the Original input and the full prompt that wrote each rewrite.
- NewSpeed for each mode: how long it adds, rewrites done and words, plus Try it on your last dictation.
- ImprovedHistory rows are roomier and all one height, with Delete at the top of each dictation.

Ctrl + Space and the recording panel
Press Ctrl + Space to start talking and again to stop, or pick any shortcut you like.
- NewPress to start, press to stop. Ctrl + Space by default, hands free for as long as you talk. Hold while talking is still there if you prefer it.
- NewAny shortcut you like. Any key with Ctrl, Alt or Win, or a key on its own such as Right Ctrl, F9 or the Copilot key.
- NewRecording panel with live voice bars, a timer, words so far, your speed, time saved and words left this week. Drag it anywhere and it stays there.
- NewHow long writing takes shows while your text is written, learnt from your own dictations.
- ImprovedEsc while it writes stops the paste and keeps the text in History.
- ImprovedThe tray menu can start and stop dictating, show the panel, and change the shortcut. Start with Windows is on for new installs.

Websites
In Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox, each website can now have its own style.
- NewStyles by website. The site is read from the address bar, so Gmail in the browser writes an email and a helpdesk site writes a chat reply.
- NewAdd any site in Settings and pick its style, or turn "send" on for it.
- ImprovedHistory shows the website a dictation went into, and search finds it by site.
- ImprovedThe address never leaves your PC. Only the style goes with your audio, as before.

Accounts and PCs
Sign in once with Google and use one account on up to 3 PCs.
- NewSign in with Google from the app: it shows a short code, you confirm it on perfectdictation.com.
- NewYour PCs in Settings: see each PC on your account and its words this week.

- ImprovedReady for the Microsoft Store, including starting with Windows from the Store version.

Settings and smart features
Everything you can change is now in one Settings tab, and it follows you to every PC you sign in on.
- NewYour own styles. Describe how it should write in plain words and give the style to any app.
- NewDictionary with "heard as". Teach it a word once, including what it tends to mishear, and it is spelt your way from then on.
- NewSnippets. Say a short phrase like "my address" and the full text is typed.
- NewSay "send". In chat apps, end with "send" and it presses Enter for you.
- NewRewrite selected text. Select text, hold Right Ctrl + Shift and say how to change it.
- NewLanguages and spelling. Pick the languages you speak and British or American spelling.
- NewSettings sync. Dictionary, snippets and styles now sync across your PCs.
- ImprovedShortcuts can be changed, and History can be kept for 30 or 90 days, or exported.
- FixedList dashes and bullets no longer count as words.
